Husky Sailing offers week-long sailing expeditions in Svalbard aboard S/Y Aurora. Small crew, big seas, and stories worth sharing. We take a maximum of 6 guests per trip for an intimate Arctic experience.

No prior sailing experience is needed. Our crew handles all sailing operations. Of course, if you want to learn and participate, we're happy to teach you the basics!

S/Y Aurora has comfortable berths for up to 6 guests. Life aboard is cozy — you'll share the living space with fellow adventurers. We provide sleeping bags and pillows. All meals are prepared on board and shared together.

Safety is our top priority. We carry all required polar safety equipment, including a rifle for shore excursions as a polar bear precaution (a legal requirement in Svalbard). Every guest receives a thorough safety briefing before departure. Our skipper is experienced in Arctic navigation and conditions.

The price includes your berth, all meals on board, safety equipment, guided shore excursions, and polar bear rifle guard. Not included: flights to/from Longyearbyen, travel insurance (mandatory), personal gear, and alcoholic beverages.

Longyearbyen (Svalbard Airport, LYR) has regular flights from Oslo and Tromsø via SAS and Norwegian. We recommend arriving the day before departure to explore the town and acclimatize.

Check our detailed Packing List for everything you need. In general: warm layers, waterproof outer layer, sturdy boots, and a sense of adventure.

Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full cancellation and refund policies. We recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.

Summer in Svalbard (June–August) brings 24-hour daylight and temperatures between 3–10°C. Weather can change rapidly — fog, rain, and occasional snow are possible even in summer. We dress in layers and embrace whatever comes!
