Welcome Aboard S/Y Aurora

We are a small team of passionate sailors based in Longyearbyen, the northernmost town in the world. Our sailboat, S/Y Aurora, is our home and our way of sharing the magic of the Arctic with a handful of guests each summer.

Every week-long expedition is an intimate, off-the-grid adventure. We navigate through ice-filled fjords, anchor in secluded bays, and set foot on shores few will ever see. Our trips are about connection — with nature, with each other, and with the raw beauty of Svalbard.

The Boat

S/Y Aurora is a sturdy sailing yacht built for Arctic conditions. Equipped with modern navigation, safety gear, and comfortable berths for up to 6 guests, she is our trusted companion through the challenging and breathtaking waters of Svalbard.

While life aboard is cozy rather than luxurious, the real comfort comes from the warmth of shared meals, laughter under the midnight sun, and the knowledge that every day brings a new horizon.

Our Philosophy

We believe in slow travel, small groups, and big experiences. Our expeditions are not a checklist — they are a way of being present in one of the last true wildernesses on Earth.

Safety comes first, always. Every guest receives a thorough briefing, and we carry all required polar safety equipment including a rifle guard for shore excursions.
